I wrote in my Instagram post earlier this week how crazy it felt to call myself a small business owner.  It's my new normal.  I'm still settling in - to marriage, a new city, new friends, a new church and a new job.  New seems to be the word for this season in my life.  Some days that feels overwhelming, scary.  Other days, it feels refreshing and serves as a reminder of what is to come.

As I think of this "newness," I'm reminded of the words shared in Revelation 21 of a new heaven and a new earth where there will be no death, pain, sorrow or crying.  The time and place where we will all be made new.  The hope of that brings joy, but many days it's difficult for me to remember that.  My fear in writing these blog posts is of giving off the impression that I always know and remember what is true.  Honestly, writing is more of a way to remind myself of what has been promised to me because some (many) days can feel long, exhausting and without end. So disclaimer: I can write about it, but I can't always live it out and remember in the moments when it is needed.

Whatever your story may be today, tomorrow or in days to come, be encouraged and hope filled.  Your story ends in a renewed environment, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them.  They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.  He will wipe every tear from their eyes.  There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." Revelation 21: 3-4
